What special services do Medical Aviation Services provide?
To respond effectively to medical emergencies, and deliver care
to patients in time to make a real difference, ambulance services
need to retain 100 per cent confidence that their air assets
are ready to go - and fully operational. MAS' crews deliver that
confidence around the UK, every single day of the year.
Simply stated, MAS supplies outstanding aviation resources
to its customers, through the skills of its pilots and engineers
and the excellent operational performance of its equipment.
At any moment during the day, teams of pilots and engineers
are on duty at a dozen locations around the country. Some of
them will be already airborne, perhaps at the site of a major
road accident, helping to deliver first aid or getting casualties
to hospital A&E units, in time to benefit from the all-important
Golden Hour following an accident. Others will be standing by
to respond to such a call. All will be alert with a helicopter
ready to fly.
