SAS wins NAMSA Contract for CVR/FDR installations in Slovenian Air Force Bell 412s

Specialist Aviation Services Ltd, (SAS) the UK based aircraft modifications and completions specialist has been awarded a contract by the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) for the installation of cockpit voice and flight data recorders in eight Bell 412 aircraft operated by the Slovenian Air Force.

This award follows the company’s recent successful completion of a similar contract where SAS obtained an STC for a similar installation for Bell 412s operated by Gulf Helicopters.

The STC incorporates L3's FA 2300 'MADRAS' CVR/FDR unit and offers Bell 412 operators world-wide an economical means to comply with new operational requirements.

Modification kits will be produced at the Company’s Gloucestershire Airport facility and installed in Slovenia by its team of highly qualified engineers over the coming months.
