Yorkshire Air Ambulance acquires its very own MD Explorer

Medical Aviation Services is pleased to announce the sale of MD Explorer G-SASH to Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity (YAAC).

MAS has been providing the aircraft under a lease arrangement for the last 12 months and is pleased to have enabled YAAC to realise their ownership ambitions.

MAS will continue to maintain the aircraft and provide pilots under a newly extended contract in support of the Air Ambulance Charity’s development plans for their service.

The purchase of the ex-Heli-One owned aircraft follows an extensive fundraising campaign by YAAC and demonstrates the confidence that they have in the aircraft which has provided exceptional reliability and availability since it went into operation at Leeds-Bradford Airport in July 2005.
