Operators Maintenance Management (OMM) Training Course

 

 

Course Introduction

 

This three-day course is designed to enable police and other emergency services aircraft operators to develop their understanding of regulatory, technical and human factor aspects relating to aircraft maintenance.

The OMM course compliments the Home Office’s own Police Air Support Unit Executive Officer’s (UEO’s) course.

 

Whilst the course is aimed as a broad introduction to relative newcomers in the industry, the course also provides useful refreshment value to more experienced unit managers and staff associated with aircraft operations, support and commercial activities.

Teaching method

 

The course is designed as facilitation type training, where delegates can join in with comments and questions during the proceedings. As well as classroom theory, the course uses helicopter components as training aids and includes hangar visits to inspect aircraft. Technical manuals and books are also used as reference material.

 

Location

The course is carried out at SAS’ EASA 147 Approved Training Organisation located at Gloucester (Staverton) Airport in Gloucestershire.
