The role

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

  • Manufacture and installation of wiring looms and electrical components.
  • To assist in the timely completion of Production department manufacturing and installation tasks.
  • Work in accordance with SAS’ Expositions, Processes, Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with EASA and CAA regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide day to day support to the Senior Avionics Technician/Production Manager.
  • Manufacture wiring looms and electrical components in accordance with the design data provided.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s Part 21G Production Organisation Exposition and Procedures and all other relevant airworthiness requirements.
  • Carry out installation work on aircraft in accordance with the drawings and manuals provided.
  • Ensuring that all work carried out on an aircraft is of an acceptable standard and in compliance with the company’s Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Procedures as appropriate.
  • Work to complete tasks within the timescales set by the Senior Avionics Technician/Production Manager, advise of any potential problems at the earliest opportunity.
  • You may on occasion be required to carry out duties of a different nature either in addition to, or instead of, your normal duties. You will not be assigned duties or asked to perform services which it is believed are unreasonable or you cannot reasonably perform, or which are inconsistent with the position you hold.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

  • In co-ordination with the Senior Avionics Technician/Production Manager, identify and action your training needs.
  • Maintain your knowledge of the Company’s portfolio of services and procedures.
  • You will be required to undergo a Competency Assessment and manufacture a test piece to drawings provided. Proof of experience and certificates of training and relevant courses will be required.
